Bookings
Once you have requested a booking, Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd will confirm the date & package availability. A deposit of 20% of the charter fee is payable within 7 days of booking confirmation from Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd. The full balance of the charter fee is payable to Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd no later than seven days prior to the charter departure date.

Where bookings are made online within one week of intend charter date, the full charter fee is payable within 12 hours of the booking confirmation from Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd.

Cancellations
You can cancel the charter without loss of deposit up to 31days prior to your departure date. Where you cancel within 31 days of your departure date, Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd will refund your deposit less a $250 administration fee Only if Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd can re-book the yacht Maska for substantially the same charter period.

Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd will refund your deposit in full where, in the sole opinion of Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd, the weather conditions are so extreme as to force the cancellation of the charter or where Maska is mechanically unfit to undertake the charter. In either case, Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd will be given 24 hours grace to rectify the mechanical fault or to allow the weather to improve. If the charter is delayed for 24 hours, a pro-rate portion of your charter fee will be refunded.

Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd reserves the sole right to amend the planned charter route for safety reasons including poor weather.

Insurance
Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd recommends all charterers to purchase cancellation insurance to cover cancellation of the charter for reasons beyond your control.
Charterers are responsible for any insurance cover that is required in respect of personal injury, death or other damage occurring during the course of the charter to the charterer or members of the charter party or to their property.

Pick up and return times
Unless agreed in written communication between the parties, charter times start and end on the times listed on Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd web site.

Provisioning
Where you have selected to have Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd provision the yacht for the charter, the food and drink will be onboard when you arrive for your charter. Payment for such provisioning shall be made in full no later than seven days prior to the charter departure date.

Prices
Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd reserves the right to change the charter fee periodically.

Damage
The charterer agrees to replace or pay for the repair of any damage to the yacht Maska, her furnishings or equipment caused by the charterer or any of the charter party during the charter.

Skippers responsibility
Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd will provide a skipper for your charter. The skipper shall be responsible for the running of the yacht, the safe navigation of the yacht and the charterer and their party will follow the skippers judgement as to sailing, weather, anchorage and all other pertinent maritime and safety matters.

Should the yacht you charter from Sailing New Zealand Co Ltd during the period of the charter be lost or seriously disabled, by an act of god, fire, perils of the sea or other unforseen accident rendering her unfit for use or purpose of the charter not brought about by an act of the charterer, the charter hire shall cease from such event and neither part shall be liable for loss, expenses or inconvenience resulting therefrom.
